The Officiating Deputy Commissioner Mansa Mr Rajdeep Singh Brar today directed the municipal bodies to ensure 100 percent garbage collection in their cities for ensuring clean Mansa.
Passing the instructions during monthly meeting of all departments held today he directed the municipal bodies to ensure that all secondary collection points in their respective areas are swept clean on time and garbage is collected. He also called upon the people to pay user charges so that the money collected could be used for betterment of areas.
Local bodies were also directed to ensure that usage of plastic is completely banned in areas and that not even a single shop or rehriwala should be selling his or her products in plastic bags. He added that the strict monitoring should not only be done as government orders but also as ones moral responsibility towards environment.
Earlier while reviewing the works of revenue officers he directed them to make necessary entries into the records and ensure that people are not harassed while getting their works regarding revenue records done. He also discussed the pendency of the Punjab Land Revenue Society (PLRS) and the works related to sewa kendras.
While discussing the road safety issue, he directed officers to ensure that no underage drivers should be allowed to ply on the roads. The police were directed to ensure that underage drivers be challaned to dissuade youngsters from driving.
While convening meeting about the developmental works he added that all the concerned departments should submit their pending utility certificates about the works done. Reviewing civil and developmental works he directed that all the works should be conducted in a transparent manner and best quality should be assured.
